Food Consulting has organized a new Wine Bar, under the name FABULOUS 50 BY WOMEN, for the new fair BARCELONA WINE WEEK, which takes place from February 3rd to 5th, 2020.
This space brings together 50 wines, including still, sparkling and liqueur ones. In this BBW´s first edition, we have decided to give the maximum prominence to Women in the Wine World, in a time in which it seems like social conscience is in a full transformation. We are guided by the intention to honor the role of women in these decades in a sector in which they had virtually no presence and where they are making great achievements.

In addition, a series of activities have been planned highlighting the links between culture and wine, in the context of the BWW HUB.

1. Organic Sculpture Installation: Horizonte púrpura by Nika López, relating the culture and the process of the wine through a 100% organic installation playing with the light and the natural elements of the vine.
2. Participatory Mural art by María Ortega Estepa, will be based on the poetry of the vineyard landscape and the vine as an element of emotional inspiration, through color and light, with the participation of the attending public.
3. Sensory Experience: Maritime Wine Tasting with Habaneras and back-and-forth songs, combining wine with music. A Tasting of 5 Maritime Wines paired with Premium Quality Sea Products, and merged with 5 of these songs performed live, so that it creates its own peculiar sensory universe, with its dose of longing, the evocations to the sea, to the old port ambience and the melting pot between America and Spain.
4. Book Corner: An emblematic bookstore from Barcelona will exhibit and sell literary work specialized in wine and food. The Book Corner, together with the rest of artworks exhibited in the BBW HUB, would create a suggestive atmosphere in which the Fair visitors can relax and enjoy.
